Angry Toshiba DVD-ROM doesn't work in UDMA-mode

Hello together,

have got a quite normal PC with:

* Mainboard Abit KT7-133A-Raid (Via Chipsatz KT133A)
* on IDE 0 a Segate 80 GB as Master
* on IDE 1 a Toschiba DVD-ROM as Master
* as OS SuSE 8.0

My Problem:

* if I activate UDMA for the DVD-Drive the PC crashes
* doing the same for the HDD everything works properly

What's wrong???

Best regards MacOne
