Toshiba 1TB laptop drive not reconized unless it is hooked up on boot up

I got this internal toshiba 1TB HDD I use for external HDD with a cable, (for my LapTop) it was working before, now it is not. Hot plug it and I can feel it spining but it is not being reconized, unless I hook it up then reboot. I looked it up on google, and only found to write this into the command line 'dmesg' then the fix to taht post was he just pluged it in no longer using a 4 port apparatus. my lsusb is not working either and I have libusb installed and well at least I have coffee.

So, I have no idea what to do, still searching and posting this in hopes of a solution other then its crapped toss it out.

See here.

Your drive is drawing too much power from your USB port. You might try Paul's solution, try a different port, or try a powered hub.

Yeah I played around with it more. Figured out I have to now plug in my usb mouse on right hand side, and I got 2 usb on left and both external drives plugged in at same time with mouse on RS now everything is (still) working. strangly as it use to hot plug one external on both sides , with mouse on left side too. nevertheless, this works too. so yeah! thanks
