too many /dev/sr

i installed my cdrw and dvd drive as sscsi emulated drives so i can use them in my burning software. i usually do not run into a problem, but i have recently given gentoo a try and it has caused me trouble in this department.
when the system boots it sets the cdrw drive to like seven different /dev/sr* and the same goes for the dvd drive.
i have no idea what to do here as this hasnt happened before.
any help would be great.

/dev/sr0 will be the first device and /dev/sr1 will be the second, you can ignore the rest.
