tons of DVD drive errors

Hi,

since few days I get a lot of error when a DVD is inserted in the DVD drive. The DVD drive is a
SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-616Q, ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive (/dev/hdc).
Kernel version is 2.4.24.

The error I get every second is this, except the first two lines:

21:10:39 kernel: ISO 9660 Extensions: Microsoft Joliet Level 3
21:10:39 kernel: ISO 9660 Extensions: RRIP_1991A
21:10:40 kernel: hdc: packet command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
21:10:40 kernel: hdc: packet command error: error=0x54
21:10:40 kernel: hdc: packet command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
21:10:40 kernel: hdc: packet command error: error=0x54
21:10:40 kernel: ATAPI device hdc:
21:10:40 kernel: Error: Illegal request -- (Sense key=0x05)
21:10:40 kernel: Cannot read medium - incompatible format -- (asc=0x30, ascq=0x02)
21:10:40 kernel: The failed "Read Subchannel" packet command was:
21:10:40 kernel: "42 02 40 01 00 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 "

After mounting the DVD, which is succesful, I get every 10 seconds this error.

23:38:27 kernel: hdc: cdrom_pc_intr: The drive appears confused (ireason = 0x 3)
23:38:37 kernel: hdc: lost interrupt

When the DVD is mounted, I'm unable to unmount it and I can't eject it, but I can read it. I'm not sure if it possible to read the whole DVD, biut several files are readable. Trying to read the DVD under MS-Windohs it works. This mentioned DVD contains the Debian distribution, wich I've installed few week ago.
Mounting a CD-ROM is succesful (as DVD) but I get not any error message like these above. But after unmounting the CD-ROM it can't be ejected withe the eject command (eject: unable to eject, last error: Invalid argument). Does anyone know whats happend?

confused as DVD drive

Problem fixed!

I would like to tell you, whats happend. It's very simple; I've found out that kscd has tried to read the inserted DVD, but the DVD contains data only, no OGG or MP3. Therefore I've finished kscd and now I don't get any further errors. If someone have such trouble, kscd could be the reason.
