TI-89 with SilverLink cable not accessible with proper driver

I recently downloaded and installed TiLP 6.81, the communications program for Texas Instruments calculators. I did get it working, by loading a particular module, and now I can't remember what that module was! The calculator is a TI-89 and the cable is the USB SilverLink. TiLP now says that there is no node to communicate with, and if I create the node myself, it simple says that it can't communicate with the device. I run Ubuntu Linux 6.06 Dapper Drake on an HP Pavilion and the calculator plugs into an EHCI USB port. I'd also appreciate if anyone could tell me step-by-step how to install and configure TiLP, in case I did something wrong. Thanks!
