Three monitors on the cheap

I'm building a linux setup out of salvaged parts, (just for fun) but my gts 460 only powers two displays, i've got load of crappy gpu's around, anyway to use one of them to power the third display?

any input would be appreciated,

im runing mint 19, some kind of AMD X4, gts 460,
i want to extend not mirror the display, also low resolution like 480p on one display would be ok because it only for terminal use.

It should as long as your GPUs are the same brand. Mixing nVidia and AMD gpu's would likely be problematic.

I tend to divide my ONE display up with Xephyr to make things to my liking. With Xdmx to merge say 3 windows into one very tall one. Useful for examining code and things. Not so useful for editing as Xdmx hasn't seen much love since 2004. And it's input methods are mostly limited to the first window, with quirks.
