Question Three DVI Monitors in Gentoo

I am looking to setup an AMDx2 3800+ on an Nforce4 chipset with three dvi driven monitors under gentoo Linux. We had previously used a quadro nvs 400 pci card but it was unstable (locked after driver installation). What do you recommend? Should the NVS400 have worked? We were thinking perhaps a pair of Quadro NVS 280s.

Thanks for your help, I’m losing hair over this..

If you buy two nVidia GeForce6 6200 with dual DVI connectors. They should give you up to four displays. Depending on your motherboard, you should be able to use two PCI Express graphics card with out having to enable SLI.

BTW, talking in third person annoys the reader.
