Thomson DCM245 Cable Modem
I have a Thomson DCM245 Cable Modem hooked to my system through my USB port. Using a USB viewer, I can find the modem, and pull info on the modem. I also have all the IP address stuff I need. I just don't know how to get Linux to access the internet through the modem! Can anyone help me? I have RedHat 7.1, and I do have Internet access through Windows.

I tried a search and couldn't find any sort of Linux USB drivers for that particular Cable Modem.
To tell you the truth, your probably better off getting a NIC to attach it to, its actually better reliability and so much easier to get going in Linux...

This modem can connect to your PC with usb or ethernet. The easiest way would be to get an ethernet card and connect it that way.
