Thinkpad X200 UMTS card won't run (Ericsson F3507g)

Hey guys!

I can't get my UMTS card to run at all. As far as I can tell it is being recognized properly and the kernel supports it out-of-the-box and so on, but I can't see anything about in on NetworkManager and the manual procedure using picocom and adressing the device directly gets me only past entering the SIM code. Is there maybe anything I am doing wrong here? :/

Here's a little bit of info about my system:

Lenovo Thinkpad X200
UMTS card: Ericsson F3507g
Arch Linux Stock Kernel 3.12 (I had 3.11 until yesterday, exactly the same problem)
KDE 4.11.3
NetworkManager 0.9.8.8
kdeplasma-applets-plasma-nm 0.9.3.1
modemmanager 1.0.0

Here's some output that might be useful. Bare with me if it's not what you need, I'm a bloody beginner compared to most of you guys.

Today I cut off a few gigabytes from my Arch partition to try out what Linux Mint 16 RC was like and surprisingly, the first thing I saw was a dialog box asking me to insert my PIN number. I entered my PIN, told the network configuration tool my APN and tadaaa: Everything worked fine!

So... Can I maybe gain some information out of the working card in Mint?
