Thinkpad T41 with SuSE 9.3 and XP
 

I'm trying to get a Thinkpad T41 dual booting with SuSE 9.3 and XP.

When trying to boot grub gives the dreaded "Error 18", then dies.

I've reflashed the bios to the latest version which doesn't help, and the bios setup doesn't give access to LBA settings... or indeed any hard disk settings.

Has anyone managed to resolve this with suse 9.3 on a thinkpad?
