Thinking about buying the DNS-323 by D-Link

I would like to use this Nas device for a mixed environment, (Ubuntu and Windows XP) with a HP Photomarts C3180 printer/scanner. My question is that can I use the Dlink as a print/scanner server as long as I put the correct drivers on the machines or do I need a certain print server that has the the drivers built in to use this as a print/scanner server?

At first blush, the DNS-323 supports just about everything you might want in a home NAS. In addition to various RAID settings, the device can act as a UPnP AV server, an iTunes server, and an FTP server. It will also schedule file transfers and backups, and even act as a DHCP server, should you need one. In addition, there's one USB port that you can use for a printer, with the DNS-323 acting as a print server.

Dunno about scanner - but if it just turns a local printer/scanner into a network version - don't see why net.

A nice wee device. Personally, I have an old PC to do all that stuff for a quarter of the price.
