Theoretical Mac keyboard & KVM

I've got a hypothetical here - really an idealisic situation that I'd like to know if it's possible to achieve:

I run Slackware 10, and will shortly be relocating a win2K box to share the same desk, monitor, etc. I love Mac keyboards, and it would be great to replace my existing borrowed one with one of those. The catch is, having 2 computers there means a KVM. I'm not too concerned with getting a bluetooth keyboard, as I realize the challenges involved there are either insurmountable or more of a pain in the arse than I'm willing to put up with ;) but I would like to have one of the USB ones. My existing mouse is also USB, and will not be parted with.

I'm fairly certain that I can make Win2K deal with whatever I throw at it, so the question really amounts to "can I use a KVM switch reliably now with linux kernel 2.4.26, and if so can it handle both a USB keyboard & mouse?"

Many thanks!

*bump*

Does anyone know if I can reliably use a USB KVM switch with slackware, kernel 2.4.26?

Thanks!
