Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

The information "amd-vi event logged invalid device…" confused me

I found the information "amd-vi event logged invalid device…" on the screen when I ran SPECvirt test, and then my OS was no responding.
When I checked /var/crash, it was null, I am sure the service kdump is running. I also couldn't find the same informantion on screen in /var/log/message or in /var/log/dmesg, when I reboot the system.
Was it the kernel issue or hardware issue? Could someone help me?

kernel information: Linux localhost.localdomain 3.10.0-862.el7.x86_64 #13 SMP Sat May 19 13:49:46 CST 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The error was put out by the AMD iommu driver when trying to talk to your SAS controller. The first thing I would check is whether you have the latest firmware on the SAS. Last time I updated one of those it required booting DOS. Hopefully, they have a Linux utility by now. Your firmware says Symbios, which was at least 3 acquisitions ago (they seem to get bought every 2-3 years). I believe they are owned by Broadcom now.
