The amazing vanishing mouse!

At the login screen, I've got a mouse arrow. When the GUI (RH9) pops up - no mouse, but it's there really because menus highlight as I move over them.

As soon as I open something, like OpenOffice, the arrow re-appears. Then as i'm using Linux, it keeps going and coming back...

Any ideas anyone?

I've got no idea, but you could try setting up X with different mouse settings and seeing if anything works any better. What type of mouse are you using?

Thanks for your help but I actually fixed it by changing the screen res from 1600x1200 down to 1280x1024.

I may have see something similar error when I install XFree. I set the mouse type to auto and ok again
