Question testing the modem from the command line?


I seem to remember there was a command that could be used to issue commands like AT to the modem from the command line. Problem is it's been a long time since I did it and I have forgotten how. Can someone tell me how I can do this please?

minicom to start the serial communications program, but you may need to check some configuration first: man minicom for help.
