LinuxQuestions.org - system temp questions...

I recently upgraded/updated my personal PC and added some liquid cooling devices... I'm not big on heavy modding so I decided to get a pair of closed system coolers, the Corsair H100 for my processor (AMD phenom II 1100t) and an arctic hybrid for my video card (AMD radeon r5870 eyefinity ed.) both are installed and working great, I have NEVER seen these kind of temps before... my processor is reading 18~20 degrees C (at least I believe this is my proc temp...) and my video card is topping out around degrees 45~50 C (again, I believe this is my video card I'm seeing...)

I have 3 questions for you fine linux hardware gurus...

1> are these indeed the sensors I think them to be:

2> in terminal>sensors reports a different reading than I find in the sensors plugin (XFCE in fedora 18) and distressing me somewhat is the values set in the sensors plugin for the k10temp sensor which is set to min @ 0 and max @ 17 degrees C... is this indeed just a silly setting in sensors I can modify to reflect what I see in terminal?

3> Last one and this is a two-parter, when I installed the Arctic Hybrid cooler, I noted they neglected to include enough vram heatsinks... I have ordered 4 more from them to rectify this and I prioritized the heatsinks I had to locations close to heat generating sources (I.E: the vram next to the Voltage regulators)

a> is it a bad idea to run this machine in this state untill I get the other heatsinks?
b> is there a tool I can use to monitor the memory temp for the radeon card?

[edit] changes the location of my radiators lowering the temp of the video card by nearly 20 degrees!... again... i THINK that's my video card...
