System Performance with Extra Games

Ok going to give this a shot.

I have Redhat 8.0 loaded on my PC with a NVIDA TNT2 video card. when I run any of the games that are listed under the extra games menu ex: the Tux skiing game, my system comes to it's knees it goes at most one frame per second and if you are trying to exit or kill the program it could take up to 3-5 minutes. I'm not sure what to try. I havn't loaded any graphic intensive games yet, heck I'm kind of scared to now. I'll try and give you any more info you need just let me know how to find it I'm new of course.

Go to the nvidia homepage (www.nvidia.com) and d/l the Linux drivers (making sure to follow the instructions).

The distro will install generic drivers, for full performance, you need the full drivers.

Do a search on this site for hints and tips on installing.
