system locks at checking for new hardware after kernel upgrade
I am running Fedora core 3 with kernel 2.6.9-1.724_FC3
I upgraded via yum to 2.6.10-1.737_FC3 after reboot my system locks at checking for new hardware. At this point I can not even move the mouse. I then upgraded to kernel 2.6.10-1.741_FC3 in hopes this would fix my problem, it did not. When I boot my computer I can tell it to use kernel 2.6.9-1.724_FC3 and everything boots fine with no errors. I am some what new to linux and I need help trouble shooting this problem. RedHawk |
I did an interactive startup and found that if I do not run KUDZU and CUPS the system will boot fine.
