System Hangs during boot (starting HAL daemon ) on FC 6 32 bit with pentium D

Hi All

I had recently installed FC 6 32 bit on a machine with Pentium D processor 2.8 ghz and Intel 102ggc2 mother board and nvdia 8500GMT Graphics card .

System hangs during boot screen starting haldaemon gets stuck on this screen .

My Windows OS boots fine without any issues .

After i enabled the swsingle processor mode in bios , MY Machine boot without issues .

Need ur help in resolving the issue .

I Need the power of dual core processor .

To my knowledge most dual core processor are 64 bits is there a reason to use 32 bits version ?
Or may yet better to use FC 6 ? FC 8 has also 64 bits version that support dual core
