Sync for Samsung Sync master
Hi there. Iwe a nasty bit of a problem that shouldnt be to difficult to handle for more experienced personel. I reacently bought a Samsung SyncMaster 710v LCD screen for my computer. I had already a up and running Linux Mandrake v10. The xf86config program needed an update and so np, i did that, (note that the linux did work with a tube screen) but it always fails to detect or accept the screen, printing that no screen was found. A friend of mine that had a simular problem said i had to input the horizontal and vertiacal synk by hand. just one problem. the sync isint posted in the manual, although a walkthrough of how to make the xf86c. accept the screen is there ( doesent work of course ). so i emailed Samsung, and guess what they sent me a mail back almost immedietly telling me that because of the nature of my question it would be forwarded to the tecknical divicion. It has been two weeks since then and im getting a bit frustrated. I wonder if any of you have any tips og trics in your boxes for me. Addicional info is for example that i have a nvidia 3d card in the comp but i dont think that matters, but better safe than sorry.
