I just purchased a Syba IDE PCI controller card and was hoping to set up RAID 0 with my two 500GB drives and install Ubuntu to it.
Once I get to the disk partitioner, Ubuntu install only sees two 500GB despite the controller card striping them into RAID 0. Shouldn't the controller card simply present the drives as a single 1TB drive to Ubuntu? Everything is set up correctly on the controller card, each drive is on its own channel. Anyone have any experience with this?
