switching from nvidia gforce to ati radeon; can't find libglx.a

Hi, I just bought a new graphics card; an ati radeon 9600. I was using an nvidia gforce 4 before. But I have some troubles getting the ati drivers installed.
I downloaded the latest driver (fglrx-4.3.0-3.9.0.i386.rpm) from the ati site and installed it by doing
Code:
 rpm -Uhi --force --nodeps fglrx-4.3.0-3.9.0.i386.rpm
Everything looked alright, it made the kernel module "fglrx" and it is actually usable. But I can't seem to get 3d accaleration because the glx extention to xfree doesn't seem to come up. I get this error while loading Xfree 4.3:
Code:
Failed to load module glx (module does not exist, 0)
. It appeers that a module named libglx.a that is supposed to be in "/usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/" isn't there and hence cannot be loaded.
What is the quickest solution to this problem? I'm just about to re-install xfree 4.3 from scratch. But is there a better (quicker) way to solve this issue?

Some info;

Xfree version: 4.3
Kernel: 2.6.3
driver: fglrx-4.3.0-3.9.0.i386.rpm
graphics adapter: ati radeon 9600

well thanks for the plenty replies every one ( ). I solved the issue by downloading the binary drivers from the xfree website. Just download xmod.tgz and copy libglx.a and libGLcore.a to /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/ .
