svideo port on dell latitude cpx j650


hi guys,

has anyone tried to output video on the svideo port on the dell latitude cpx j650? i tried looking in freshmeat and sourceforge to no avail ...

What's the actual onboard video card?

i believe the onboard video is a ati rage mobile chipset, but this is what i got ...

Yeah, you can kinda get it to work, I've got the same myself, but as its running OpenBSD, none of these tricks work... Open doesn't, as far as I know, have a working framebuffer console.

Check the gatos drivers:

gatos.sourceforge.net

And what the mplayer multimedia player has to say about framebuffer mode and s-video over at www.mplayerhq.hu
