suspend mode

Hi All,
I am using Via pc3500G mother board, which uses c7 serial processor. I tried both S1 and S3 options from BIOS, but nothing seems to be working for Suspend action. The CPU does not come back sucessfully from suspend mode. the display - LCD doesnot come back, even if the board seems to come back.
I tried HPET item enabling/disabling in BIOS, but still there seems to
be no change in suspend action.
I found that video display doesn't turn up after pressing suspend for
all the cases. Initially at idle state, the power is 26 W. Then when it
goes to suspend,it shows a power of 2 W. However after coming back from
suspend, it shows a power of 34 W, with LCD monitor not displaying anything.
I also found that HPET option is enabled in my present running kernel.

Any suggestions regarding this, let me know.

Thanks
Madhav.
