Suse Svideo out?
I am running Suse 9.3 with the NVidia driver (the official nvidia one, not nv) and I have a geforce4 4000 video card with an svideo out plugged into my tv.
THe problem is for some reason, I can not go into yast and setup the multiheaded display.
Any ideas to get the display extended onto my tv?

Use nvtv . Not sure if you can find SUSE packages for it, so you'll have to comppile form source.
Otherwise, you can tweak your XFConfig86 to display to the TV.

I tried to install nvtv and it says my video card isnt supported. Strange...
You have the syntax or know how to setup X to display my tv? I heard some things about damaging your TV if you do it wrong so I am kinda cautious to venture at it myself.

I believe that's true for old TV-set. If yours is decently recent you should be n the safe side. Here's my config file (using Nvidia Proprietary drivers ). The web is full of very helpful tutorials (provided you have the time to go thru them) to get you up and running.
