Suse Linux Hardware Compatibility
One of my destops crashed and am looking towards the future. I am considering the following hardware and need opinion on linux compatibility. I am on a budget!
Board: Asus M2N4-SLI (nForce4 SLI MCP Chipset) --(90% sure am getting this)
CPU: Athlon 64 X2 4200+
Video: ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XL PCIE or ALL-IN-WONDER X1800 XL PCIE
Hard Drive: 2 X Western Digital Caviar RE WD2500YD 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM
Memory: OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit
CD/DVD: LITE-ON 16X DVD±R DVD Burner W/ LightScribe ATAPI/E-IDE Model SHM-165H6S - OEM

Are you saying this is imposible. I ended up with the x800 xl. Am sure someone out there has the tuner working.

There are numerous threads here at LQ from other users regarding their installation experiences with ATI drivers. It may be worthwhile to review some of those threads to gain insight into what other people have encountered with ATI, and compare it to other choices. Good luck with it either way
