nvidia dual display and suse 9.3

I was on RedHat then Mandrake for a few years and have now switched to SuSE 9.3. Dual head and all the other features on my FX 5200 worked great in the other distros after properly editing the XF86-Config file. Now in SuSE, can I simply make the same modifications to the xorg.conf file? Do I really have to bother with sax2 and adding a new card and all that?

After trying to get my TV out working with my nvidia FX5700 -- which has a problem with tv out -- I gave up on sax2.
I had to try a lot of options and sax was making it harder instead of easier.
I would say that if you already have some idea of what is needed in your x.whatever.config just type it in.
The worst that happened in my learning curve was that suse half-booted at one stage and said "no screens found" (i.e. for X).
I just started yast from there and specified my video card again.
