Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Question SuSE Linux 9.0 AMD64 on a Athlon XP?

Question, awhile ago when the x86-64 rally started, SuSE stated that they had the 64bit code working on Athlon XP processors. Does anyone know if you can load SuSE Linux 9.0 for AMD64 on an Athlon XP based system and have a functional 64bit kernel? From what I can find in the datasheets of the Athlon XP series processors, they are internal 64bit, and with their datapaths, it should be possible.
