SUSE doesn't recognize my parallel port

Hi,

I run SUSE 10 recently. I am very pleased of full support for greek language, but when I try to install printer, YAST reports that parallel port (/dev/lp?) is not properly connected (but it is!). What's the problem? The computer is Acer Aspire 1620, and the printer is Lexmark 1020 (I have installed the PPD file).

Thank you
