suse and usb
Hi, i wanted to install SUSE on my system from DVD, BUT when the installer starts i bring up the console output thingy and when it's doin all its loading and checks it freezes on 'reading disk info...' if i disable my onboard usb it gets past this?? if i get it installed and then enable my usb again in the bios it starts freezing....n e way around this. its the only distro that does it!!!

Try setting it the BIOS to not be high speed USB, or enabling USB Legacy support, or disabling USB legacy support.

ok, i have an award bios and none of those options are avail. just OnChip USB Enable|Disable (have to set to disable to run setup)

It's probably HotPlug,...
I'm not sure how to disable hotplug, so ask around so you can try that out.

USB Onchip
Sorry not an answer but did you fix this problem? I am having the same issue (Award BIOS) and I'm fed up with disabling and enabling the USB. I tried a PCI card instaed but this is even worse as I just get CRC error before booting.
