SUSE 9.2 + two Promise Ultra133 controllers, fails to boot
 

Have searched the forum and found similar posts, but haven't seen any that applies to this scenario:

Suse 9.2 + 2 identical Promise Ultra 133 TX2 controllers.

When using one controller, which 4 drives are connected to, it works flawlessly.

But when I added the second controller, Suse refuses to boot. Saying "waiting for /dev/hde3..." and then halts after throwing a lot of device names or whatever it is at me.

So I tried removing the drives from the second controller and boot again, but, the same error. When I removed the second controller, it worked fine again.

I've made sure its identified as the second controller and not the first, as that might screw up the volume set that spans over all the drives connected to the first controller card.

VERY glad for any kind of advice on this one.
