Question SuSe 9.2 and ViewSonic VA1912w?

Hello!
I'm newbie, and this is problem:

Hardware:

Compaq Deskpro EN
ViewSonic VA1912w

I putted new monitor, old was compaq v170, and this (ViewSonic) started to work quit well. Then I start to configure screen size and location.

But every time I restart computer, screen jump on right side, approximately one centimetre! I have reconfigured hours screen location, but every time it's set itself on wrong place, everytime same position.

Screen size is 1440*900, and this I set. But on Sax2 "Currently active geometry timings" show's screen size as 1280*1024
and in SuSe control center I can't set Display bigger than 1280*1024. I think problem is these, but I can't change those values.

hrrmmmm, i had a similar problem. im assuming youv'e tried to set the positioning useing sax2. when i installed the drivers for my card from the manufacturers site it let me set the positinoing properly. my loading screen is still a little too far left, but the desktop is fine... what vid card?? im no pro, but id say don't use the drivers off the disk. if its an option, take ur vid card out and replace it with another, boot, config, then swap back again. also, tho i dunno if it will give you any joy, look in you're /etc/X11 folder for a .conf file, probably xorg.conf and have a google and a look thru, you may be able to force the settings, sozz i dont know how, i just ask the guys at work
