Suse 9.1 Professional and HSP56 World MicroModem

Hi There!
I've got Suse 9.1 Professional and I'm trying to connect to the Net via HSP56 World MicroModem , but nothing...it does'nt work. I tried the slyLCR,a low cost router, but there were no beeps & noises from the modem :(
I want to use call-by-call and in yast2 you need a provider login and I don't have one. How do I have to proceed?

you first have to find out what is your modem's devicefile and put it into the connectionsettings...
maybe yast can tell you this... something like "/dev/xxxx"
