SuSE 9.1 and Modem

Hi,

I have just upgraded my SuSE 9.0 Distribution to SuSE 9.1, and I am suprised on the BIG difference it made to my system! Not only do I get Sound from my crappy onboard, and a decent driver for my KM400 video card, but the Interface is much, much better.

Anyway, the problem with my Generic SoftK56 modem (as Microsoft Windows XP Pro calls it). SuSE doesn't recognise it. Is there some driver like the one for the Lucent modems exist for the Generic modems?

More information: The brand is WebExcel.

Please help me! As soon as I get this going, then my copy of Windows XP is going to take a ride to the dump!

Thanks in advance,
AFGNCAAP!

There is some info on various Web Excel modems at that link.
Looks like you will need to know a model.
YAST may be able to give some info.
The Belarc Advisor should tell you about your modem (from Windows).
