suse 9.0 amd64, missing sata raid array

Here is my experience what happened when i installed suse 9.0 amd64.

I've hardware as follows...
AccelerTech ATo261-A Tsunami 64 Dual Opteron with
-AMD Opteron 242
-FastTrak S150 TX4 (Sata Raid Controller), also known as promise pdc20319
+ 2 western digital sata drives
+ 1 plain ide drive

First i got a problem because during the installation i could not see my
sata drives.
Ok, I tried to contact suse support and they answered that they wouldn't
give free support for raid-installation.
But with help from Acceler tech i got information that there is a patch
available... (9.0-PatchCD.iso)

This helped for a while, I've setup a RAID 0 array with two hard drives. But
during the installation process I didn't see my SATA RAID array, only plain drives (total 3).
Ok, I thought there are still some problems... anyway i installed system
only using ide drive, and everything went ok.
I booted system up and saw that it loaded module sata_promise, so i thought now it rocks...

But still i didn't see raid array,... Is there something i missed or ....,
any help/info are welcome ?

Hardware raid or software raid, because I don't think the promise module can handle hardware raid, at least, I wouldn't trust it to. Software raid has slightly more system overhead, but doesn't max out at the dinky little amount of ram on the card. Also, the PDC203xx series is in the kernel now, albeit only in 2.6.
