SuSE 8.2 cd drives - how to eject?

Sometimes (and this happens quite alot), when i right click in KDE and click on eject to eject my cd drive, it complains about /dev/cdrecorder being busy even though ive closed all programs, and there is nothing using the drive, and I cant hear any reading.
It also wont let me unmount it from the console and the only solution is to reboot.
Im very sure this isnt a hardware fault, as the same problem is on both cd drives, and my friend has it as well.

Is it still mounted? Type "umount /dev/cdrecorder" in a terminal, and then try ejecting. Maybe try it as root.
