I possess a Ati 9700 for and Suse 8,1, driver the 2.5.1, unified Ati are install to you correctly but it works alone in 2D.................. Help!!!!!!!!!
If you read and followed ATI's procedure and it didn't turn up any errors, see if the fglrx module is loaded with the lsmod command.
If not, go to console mode [...runlevel 3] and do modprobe fglrx to load the module and go back into X to check if it works.
If all is well, adding modprobe fglrx to /etc/rc.d/rc.local is one way to load automatically at boot.
