suse 10 doesn't boot after replacing ATI with NVIDIA gpu

Please help me. I have replaced ATI Rage 128 card with NVIDIA GeForce 4 and my SUSE 10 doesn't boot. It keeps restarting PC before showing graphical grub menu. It is probably set to use ATI drivers to display this. How can I get around this problem? If I boot the Knoppix Live CD, everything works fine.
Thank you for your help.

If the problem is with Suse10, you can try booting from CD1 and starting the installation procedure. When it asks you for the type of install, instead of selecting "New" or "Upgrade", click on the "Other" button and you will be given the option to repair the installed system. One of the repair options is fix GRUB.

It may not fix your problem, but I've had some success using the Repair function to recover non-functional installations.

Timothy.

Smile Changed video card

Its not surprising that you have problems. You need to get hold
of the latest video driver for your nvidia card. Don't try to
boot into a GUI mode. Boot into a console only mode i.e level 3.
try pressing the 3 key repeatedly as soon as grub starts. Then
log in as root and install the nvidia driver.
If all else fails then boot from your Suse 10 dvd and try a
repair install first followed by an install of the nvidia driver
to get 3D acceleration again.
