Suggestions for external (USB) DVD burner

I want to get an external (USB) DVD burner for my laptop (internal burner broken). I've narrowed down the list to 3 devices. Does anyone on the forum use any of these? If so, what do you think of it?

Digistore DIG-71042
Iomega 34427
Lenovo 41N5565

Also open to suggestions that have worked well under linux.

As an aside, has anyone gotten lightscribe working in linux?

Thanks, Tom Taylor

I haven't used any of those. My Liteon External DVDRW USB 2.0 works in all my installed distros though. I haven't tried the lightscribe function though.

It has been plug and play/burn in Puppy, AntiX, Ubuntu, Mepis, and any other live cd I decide to boot up with. Been durable to. It may not be the latest or greatest but works for me.

After looking at several recommended burners on this and other lists, I decided on the Liteon drive. It has been very reliable and the lightscribe function even works nicely.

Thanks, Tom
