Strange problem with keyboard at boot time

Hello people,

I have the idea to restore my system with a GNU/Linux Debian. I've download the last image and burned into a CD. The strange issue is that when I start the computer the keyboard doesn't work so I can't make the installation.

I've downloaded again the image and I have burned it again, but the problem persists. Also I have tried with other distro (UTUTO) and it happends the same.

If I let start the computer normally, the keyboard works fine, the proove that I am writing... Also I've tried with other keyboards. I tried to change the keyboard to an USB one, but I can't since there is no way to work with the BIOS since the keyboard doesn't work either.

If somebody has any idea about what can happends and how to fix I will be very very gratefull.

Thank you in advance.

I'd try to find a PS/2 keyboard, a basic one, and change your bios / install with that. Other than that, I have no idea. If you don't have one, you could always pick one up for about $3 or borrow one from a friend.

Hi Nathan,

My keyboard is a PS/2 one. I try to change to an USB to check it. But any way to make it work. Very strange ...

I feel upset since I can't install my server ... due to a stupid problem I have never seen.

Anyway thank for your try...

Take care.
