Sprint 595u Mobile Broadband problems

I can't seem to get my Sprint 595u USB mobile broadband card to work in Xandros. I have everything set up using the guides that are available, but no matter what I do I get the same error message when I run "pppd call 1xevdo" and the end. The error is:

pppd: In file /etc/ppp/peers/1xevdo: unrecognized option '/dev/ttyUSB0'

Any ideas? For some reason the system does not seem to be recognizing the USB device, though the drivers are installed and when I run "lsusb" it sees it.

I used this guide for reference: http://www.sierrawireless.com/faq/ShowFAQ.aspx?ID=607

I really appreciate the help!!!
