speedtouch modem fails
 

I've a speedtouch modem
it works fine
except when i reboot : it does'nt initialize itself (leds don't change)
under mandriva i can make it work finally using modem_run command
under debian i do not succeed to make it even with modem_run ; the workaround is to disconnect the modem during about ten minutes and replug it
(with windows reboot works fine)
do somebody knows this trouble - is there a solution ?
