Speedtouch bootup fail

I have just got my revision 4 Thomson speedtouch 330 modem (silver) working on my SuSE 9.1 Pro box, the method I used to get me on-line was from http://speedtouchconf.sourceforge.net/. The installation is smooth and I'm online within a few clicks. The installer then sets the bootup procedures to connect to the internet when the computer starts up. When I reboot the system and watch the boot-up messages, I notice that the lights don't start to flash and the ADSL connection fails, I'm then left with no internet, and have to re-install the whole thing again.
Can anyone help me around this problem?
Thanks in advance,
Craig.

Try set LOAD_USBCORE=0 and LOAD_USBINTERFACE=0 in /etc/speedtouch.conf, that may work for you.
