Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Speedtouch 330 USB Modem and XP

I've read through all the other threads regarding the Speedtouch 330 firmware upgrade. I'm dualbooting between XP and Mandrake 10.1 Community. The modem came with Wanadoo broadband, so it works fine in XP.
If I upgrade the firmware to make it compatible with Mandrake, does anyone know if will affect the functionality of the modem in XP?

Thanks
Adam

I've just added the firmware rev4w.zip to get my speedtouch 330 working on linux - and it still works on xp. I am sending this message through it now.
