Special Software Can Use PAE ?

I learnt that all software are not well written to use more that 4GB memory in 32-bit system using PAE.and software written for taking the advantage of PAE do not run in virtual machines ?is it right? or false and incomplete information?

Will U add somthing linux specefic?

I'm quite positive that when using PAE no one program can access more than 4GB of RAM, that's the limit of the hack. But the overall RAM available to all programs can be higher than 4GB.

No 32-bit program can access more than 4GB RAM.
