Angry soundcard ess1688 on laptop


hi
I am using FC3 on a armada laptop 1700. everything is fine accept the sound card. When using alsa to detect the card is not possible. How can i get these card installed manually. normal u can use alsaconf in the console, but fedora hasn't any. Only one in the x-windows.
the card is a ess1688 and has worked on other distro's. plz can someone gve me some info

try the OSS sound blaster 16 driver
