Soundcard configuration in Red Hat 9
My soundcard would not configure as "user", however, when I logged into KDE as "root", the sound card configured and works. When I log back into KDE as "user" there is no sound. The /usr/sbin/sndconfig command provides the following error:
"An error occured when configuring the fille."
Termilal log in as "root" with the /usr/sbin/sndconfig command brings up the configuration terminal, but gives this error: " sox: Can't open output file │
│ '/dev/dsp': Device or │
│ resource busy"
This all seems weird. What should I do next?
