Soundcard cant handel more than 1 meida file ??

i am using FC5 and mplayer to play my videos. i just realized that i cannot run more than 1 video or any media file at the same time. if i try to the 2nd media player simply crashes :confused:

has anyone seen this problem ? i deffinately dont have it in windows XP. my sound card is a C-Media8738.
