Soundblaster Live! Value Sound Problems

Was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to get 4.1 Sound coming out of a Soundblaster Live! Value card. I can get sound out of my front speakers but not out of my rear speakers... even after messing around with the 'alsamixer'. The drivers I'm using are snd_emu10k1 drivers.

I am wondering the same, although I have not tried alsamixer, nor do I know what alsa is? Maybe I should try that first... how would I go about doing that?

ALSA = Advanced Linux Sound Architecture. There is plenty of info online about it; all you need to do is Search. -- J.W.
