Hi

I know that there are many treads with this subject, but i can't solve the problem anyway.

I have a Sb live 1024 and debian woody.
I have no sound!
So i would like to know how i install my sound card.
when i type modprobe sb i get:

So i downloaded alsa , and it seems to me that the main package and the utils package are installed correct. But when i try modprobe like it says on the website nothing happens.

what should i do ?

The sb.o module is used for very oldschool ISA based chipset cards... I'm assuming this is a newer chipset then that, what's the listing for Multimedia Controller off of /sbin/lspci?
